Making the Most of Wildflower Season at Mt. Rainier National Park
Wanting those dreamy floral looks for your elopement? Don’t snooze on wildflower season at Mt. Rainier National Park. Everyone admires the burst of color and the life that blossoms during this season, but it doesn’t last forever. Make the most of the season by planning your elopement or personalized vows together and take advantage of the stunning floral backdrops while they last!
Seasons come and seasons go. Some of the most popular seasons are fall and spring. However, not everywhere blooms as early as April. For Mt. Rainier National Park, wildflower season hits hardest in Late July to early August.
Another perk to the summer is the visiblility of the mounatin peak itself. Throughout 75 percent of the year, it is covered in its entirety with snow. You usually need snow shoes to hike it, and most of the roads to it are closed. Luckily, the summer season brings in the perfect conditions for a dreamy elopement experience. Most mornings start off with a low fog rolling in, but as the day progresses the mountain peeks through the scenic view and creates the perfect dreamy backdrop!
If you do plan an early morning session or long enough adventure with me, Mt. Rainier also has a variety of backdrops from the green mossy woods to waterfalls with only small hikes separating them. It is truly a special place and has something for everyone!
As a reminder, permits are required for weddings or elopements in Mt. Rainier National Park. Engagement sessions do not.
